About Us

Hello! My name is Melody Snyder. Me and my husband Quinn Snyder met in high school about 6 years ago, and we dated for 3 years and we have now been married for 2 years. We have brought in a beautiful baby boy into the world. His name is Nicolas Snyder. We are starting our family and it is a wonderful feeling.

I am 21 and I am currently going to school online and next semester I am going to transfer to ASU, and do their pre-vet prerequisites so I can go to vet school like I have always wanted. Everyday brings me closer and closer to my goals of becoming a veterinarian. Quinn is 21 and is going to ASU to become an electrical engineer, he is the nerd in the house. Its really good to have one of those in the house, cause he can fix any computer problem that I have. Nicolas is now 14 months old and is walking around the house and getting into everything and is driving his mom crazy. But that is okay he is such a goof ball it is hard to stay mad at him. He knows when he is in trouble because he will give you the biggest cheese-ball smile you have ever seen.

Currently we live in Mesa, AZ and we live in a condo with our 2 cats ( 1 male Bengal- Simba, and 1 male flame-point Siamese- KeKe) our male basset hound Teddy, and my show husky Re-boot. The rest of my huskies are in Eagar, AZ with my parents until we get a house down here in Mesa. I make a lot of trips from Mesa to Eagar to take care of my dogs, and to make sure that everything is going good with them.

I got my first Siberian when I was ten years old, I bought her with my birthday money, her name was Skye. She was a beautiful Black and white husky with blue eyes. She was amazing. She is now over the rainbow bridge and she will greatly be missed.

I got my next husky when I was 16 years old. I got her from Okami Huskies, and she is Aleu. I got her during a very rough time in my life and she brighten me up so much, she brought me out of my depression and made me such a better person. She is my baby, and I baby her so much. I was always sneaking her inside to sleep with me in my bed, even though my parents didnt like that idea so much.

I got my next husky Pibb about 6 months after I got aleu because she needed a friend to play with when I was at school and when I was playing sports and not with her. I also got Pibb from Okami Huskies. At first I didnt think he was going to work out because he had been picked on and so that made him kind of shy and distant, but I stuck it out and work with him, and now he is the best dog anyone could ever ask for. He is mellow, and a huge teddy bear. All my nieces and nephews can hang all over him and he is just sit there and like them.

After these two came a long I started reading into breeding and the diseases and the breed restrictions, and I looked at them and decided that they are a great representation of the Siberian husky breed. I tested their hips and eyes and they are in perfect health. I have not had any genetic problems with any of my puppies. I breed Aleu once a year to insure her health over all. I love getting puppies, they are so cute and fun to have around. I hate to see them all go when they find their new homes.

My new project is show, sledding, and weight pulling my huskies. I have learned a lot about showing and I have decided that I am going to get a new puppy to start showing, and the rest of my dogs happier being sled dogs. Aleu and Pibb love to pull, they run for hours on end. They would run themselves to death if I let them. When we do not have snow they pull our four-wheeler (which is so much easier for me to handle with them). We have so much fun in doing it.

If you have any questions about me or my dogs feel free to email me, I love to chat about dogs, so if you want to chat go ahead and email me.
